CGGE Global Limited (including its affiliated companies, hereinafter referred to as the "Company", or "we" or "us") greatly values your personal data privacy. This statement and policy explains how we collect, use, hold, process, and disclose your personal data, and strictly complies with the provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486 of the Laws of Hong Kong). This policy applies to the "OriginCG International Creativity Competition" website (showcase.cgge.media) and its related services.

1. Data User

This privacy policy is issued by CGGE Global Limited (CGGE) as the data user. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle personal data, please contact us via email (info@cgge.media).

2. Categories and Purposes of Personal Data Collected

To provide you with comprehensive competition and platform services, we may collect your identity data (such as name and age), contact data (such as email address and telephone number), competition-related data (such as affiliated school/institution, competition category, entry format, and work-related information), account data (such as login email and encrypted password), and other data voluntarily provided by you when registering, uploading documents, or communicating with us.

We collect and use your personal data primarily for the following purposes:

  • Processing account registration and login procedures;

  • Processing competition registration, qualification review, and submission of entries;

  • Sending competition-related notices, including but not limited to schedules, results, and award arrangements;

  • Providing customer support and technical assistance;

  • Handling the distribution of points or rewards provided by sponsors;

  • Conducting competition promotion, media coverage, and related promotional activities;

  • Complying with applicable laws or regulatory requirements;

  • Improving the quality of our website and services.

 

3. Obligatory and Voluntary Provision of Data

The provision of the above personal data is entirely voluntary. However, if you refuse to provide the data marked as mandatory during the registration process, we may be unable to complete your account registration, process your competition entry, or distribute relevant competition rewards and points.

4. Transfer and Disclosure of Data (Data Transferees)

We will keep your personal data confidential, but under the following circumstances and for the achievement of the above purposes, we may transfer or disclose your personal data to third parties:

  • Affiliated companies of the group: For providing learning platforms and related services.

  • Competition sponsors and co-organizers: such as Pixmax, with data sharing strictly limited to the necessary scope for processing points and reward distribution.

  • Third-party service providers: such as providers of cloud storage, email delivery, technical support, and other services, and solely to the extent necessary to fulfill those services.

  • Statutory authorities: When required by law, court orders, or regulatory bodies.

When data needs to be transferred outside Hong Kong (including Mainland China), we will take reasonable measures to ensure that the recipient provides an appropriate level of data protection. If you are a resident of the European Union, we will take additional safeguards complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable.

5. Direct Marketing

We will not sell or otherwise provide your personal data to third parties for direct marketing purposes without your explicit consent. Upon obtaining your consent, we or our partners may use your contact information to send you promotional information regarding future events, activities, and related products.   • Competition-related data will be retained for a maximum of 24 months after the conclusion of the competition, or for a longer period as required by law.

  • Account data will be retained while your account remains valid and for a reasonable period following account closure.

When data is no longer required, we will securely delete it or anonymize it.

We have implemented reasonable technical and organizational measures including but not limited to data encryption, access control, and regular security reviews, to prevent unauthorized or accidental access, processing, deletion, loss, or use of your personal data.

8. Rights of Access and Correction

According to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you;

  • Request correction of inaccurate personal data;

  • Request the deletion of personal data under specific circumstances;

  • Withdraw your previously given consent (provided that this does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to the withdrawal).

9. Participation of Minors

This competition welcomes participation by minors. If a participant is under the age of 18, a "Parent/Guardian Personal Data and Competition Consent Form" must be signed by a parent or legal guardian before the registration procedure can be completed. We will protect minors' personal data to a higher standard and require parents or guardians to be clearly aware of the purposes of data collection and use.

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to improve user experience, analyze website traffic, and remember your preference settings. You can manage or reject cookies through your browser settings.
